The following UFO footage was filmed in China on August 17, 2006.

The footage was an eighteen second clip of a stationary oval shaped object sitting over a building. The object suddenly burst into a ring of lights followed by a brilliant flash, then was gone. It happened all in a split second which appears only as a sudden blip in the video.

The following four images are freeze frame captures of the video at the second of burst. As the time stamp at the bottom of each image shows, all four images occurred within the same second. The images are only split seconds apart, maybe only one or two frames apart in the running video.

The object was not sitting in clouds at the time. If it had been, then the possibly exists that the same thing could have happened as at O'Hare airport in Chicago two weeks before this video in early August 2006, where a large hole was left in the clouds from the flare when the object vanished. And also where no video captures of the event have so far surfaced.
